MOSCOW, October 7 (RAPSI) – Ex-head of the Moscow Region’s town of Chekhov Marina Kononova will go on trial for alleged theft of property, the press service of Russian Investigative Committee reports Wednesday.
Investigation has been completed and indictment has been approved. Kononova is charged with misappropriation of communal property. During interrogations, the woman made a confession.
According to investigators, she has illegally removed a building with a total area of 330 square meters and worth over 7.3 million rubles from the town’s municipal property. In 2018, the assets were assigned and transferred to the ownership of a relative of Kononova with the use of forged documents.
