MOSCOW, October 8 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Izmailovsky District Cort has sentenced three former Tax Service officers to 9 years in high-security penal colony for taking 13 million rubles (about $170,000) in bribes, according to a statement of the city Prosecutor’s Office.
Additionally, Dmitry Orman, Sergey Alpatov and Nikita Lukyanov have been fined 26 million rubles and banned from holding state service posts for 5 years.
According to the court findings, in February 2019, the senior tax inspector Alpatov during a field audit against two commercial organizations revealed tax evasion in the amount of more than 100 million rubles ($1.3 million). Lukyanov became aware of the check results and proposed the companies’ representative to assist in the lowering of the revealed sum for 16 million rubles and involved Orman in the plan execution.
In March 2019, the accomplices received 13 million rubles from the companies but were arrested after receipt of the money.
