MOSCOW, December 7 (RAPSI) – A former advisor of the Federal Fishery Agency’s head Yury Khokhlov suspected of attempted fraud has been extradited from Cyprus, the press service of Russia’s Prosecutor General’s Office has told RAPSI.

According to investigators, not later than April 2016, Khokhlov conspired with other persons to fraudulently persuade a victim to give him and his accomplices $ 7 million. He promised the victim employment for a senior position in the Fishery Agency. However, he was not aimed to live up to the commitments.

A criminal case over large-scale attempted fraud committed by a group of people in conspiracy with the use of job position is opened against Khokhlov, the statement reads.
