MOSCOW, January 19 (RAPSI) – Investigators have opened a negligence case after avalanching at a ski resort in Russia’s Karachay-Cherkess Republic, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.

According to the case papers, on January 18, avalanche descended in the settlement resort of Dombay. Preliminary figures indicate that one person died as a result of the collapse.

Witnesses are questioned as part of the investigation; certain documents are seized, the statement reads.
