MOSCOW, January 19 (RAPSI) – The Supreme Court of Russia on Tuesday upheld prison sentence given to two defendants in a case over stealing of 600 million rubles ($8 million at the current exchange rate) from Probusinessbank, the court’s press service told RAPSI.

The Ostankinsky District Court of Moscow earlier sentenced Dmitry Rogovsky and Taimirzhan Makhmutov to 3 and 4 years in prison respectively for aiding and abetting embezzlement.

The bank managers and main shareholders were involved in the embezzlement of 600 million rubles belonging to the bank in May through June 2015. To steal money, they signed a fictious agency contract on rendering services to the bank. The embezzled funds were transferred to accounts of companies affiliated to the defendants.
