ST. PETERSBURG, February 2 (RAPSI, Mikhail Telekhov) – St. Petersburg courts have brought 548 people to administrative liability for organizing an illegal rally in support of Alexey Navalny on Janury 31, the United press service of St. Petersburg courts has told RAPSI.
Administrative offence materials after the rally were submitted to 14 district courts in St. Petersburg. In two days 563 cases were considered. As a result, courts imposed 353 fines ranging from 10,000 to 15,000 rubles ($130-200) against violators, and 195 offenders were put in administrative detention for 2 -15 days.
Nine cases were returned without consideration and 6 cases were dropped for absence of elements of crime in the act, according to the statement.
