MOSCOW, February 10 (RAPSI) – Investigators have filed a motion to arrest Leonid Volkov, an associate of opposition blogger Alexey Navalny, in absentia on charges of inducement of children to participate in unlawful events, the press service of Moscow’s Basmanny District Court has told RAPSI.
Earlier, Volkov was put on the international wanted list.
Investigators allege that Volkov, well aware beforehand that that meetings were not approved by the competent agencies because of the COVID-19 pandemic, nevertheless, on January 21 published on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram his calls for minors to take part in unauthorized rallies in Moscow and other Russian towns on January 23.
