MOSCOW, February 18 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Thursday dismissed an appeal against house arrest of Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina in a case over incitement to the breaching of sanitary norms at the illegal rally held in Moscow on January 23, the court’s press service told RAPSI.
She will remain under house arrest until late March.
Earlier, several opposition activists including Lyubov Sobol, Oleg Stepanov, Anastasia Vasilyeva, Pussy Riot member Maria Alyokhina and Oleg Navalny were put under house arrest on these allegations.
According to the Interior Ministry, coronavirus-positive persons ordered to isolation were identified among the rally participants. A criminal case over violation of sanitary and epidemiological rules was opened over this fact.
