MOSCOW, March 1 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Monday upheld issuance of arrest warrant in absentia for Leonid Volkov, the head of regional offices of Alexey Navalny, in a case over involvement of children in unlawful events, RAPSI was told in the court’s press service.
Volkov is to be placed in detention for two months after his extradition or arrest in Russia.
Earlier, Volkov was put on the international wanted list.
Investigators allege that Volkov, well aware beforehand that that meetings were not approved by the competent agencies because of the COVID-19 pandemic, nevertheless, on January 21 published on YouTube, Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram his calls for minors to take part in unauthorized rallies in Moscow and other Russian towns on January 23.
