MOSCOW, March 16 (RAPSI) – Investigators seek to place Ildar Saidov, the chief of the Customs in Astrakhan, a southern Russian city situated in the delta of the Volga River, in detention until May 12 as part of a case over abuse of office, RAPSI learnt in a court where the petition had been filed.

A restrictive measure is to be imposed on the official on Tuesday. The case details have not been disclosed yet.

Saidov was appointed as the Astrakhan Customs head in June 2017.
