MOSCOW, March 24 (RAPSI) – A court in Vladivostok will hear a criminal case over illegal resale of roe of the Amur sturgeons listed in Russia’s Red Book, the press service of the Prosecutor General’s Office reports.
According to investigators, in June 2019, persons accused bought the Amur sturgeon roe from their acquaintance, a case against whom is heard separately. One of the defendants published an offer for its sale on the Internet. During the meeting with an alleged buyer he brought the osetra caviar for the weight of more than 9 kg, which was seized by law enforcement.
The defendants are charged with illegal purchase, storage, transfer and sale of the most valuable water biological recources listed in the Red Book of Russia with the use of the Internet.
