MOSCOW, May 12 (RAPSI) – The Moscow City Court on Wednesday upheld a lower court’s ruling recovering 140,000 rubles (about $2,000) from Alexey Navalny in favor of blogger Alexey Zhirukhin for illegal photo use, according to the court records. 

In December, Moscow’s Lyublinsky District Court granted Zhirukhin’s claim in part. The plaintiff demanded 180,000 rubles for violation of his exclusive rights and 50,000 rubles for moral harm.

A reason for the claim was a photo of the town Khiva in Uzbekistan posted in a video on YouTube.
