MOSCOW, May 14 (RAPSI) – Law enforcement on Friday arrested former vice-governor of Russia’s Republic of Mordovia Alexey Merkushin on suspicion of giving bribes, the Investigative Committee’s press service reports.
Investigative activities are carried out now, the statement reads.
According to the investigation, in 2015, the suspect being an actual shareholder of Mordovpromstroybank along with a chair of the bank board and one more stockholder gave a bribe in the amount of 7 million rubles ($95,000) to a branch manager of the National Bank for Mordovia.
