MOSCOW, August 18 (RAPSI) – Two alleged leaders and three alleged members of a Crimean cell of the international terrorist organization Hizb ut-Tahrir banned in Russia have been arrested by the Federal Security Service (FSB), the body's Public Relations Center informs RAPSI on Wednesday.
According to the statement, the arrested persons distributed terrorist ideologies among the peninsula residents during the group’s gatherings and recruited new members to the organization.
During the searches, FSB officers seized banned propagating materials of the terrorist organization, communications tools and electronic storage media.
The probe is ongoing, the statement reads.
