MOSCOW, September 17 (RAPSI) – Investigators have filed a motion seeking to place defendants in a case over online inducing citizens to take part in mass riots on the single voting days in detention until November 14, the press service of Moscow’s Basmanny District Court has told RAPSI.
Five defendants, Alexey Kurlov, Dmitry Chebanov, Nikita Kreshchuk, Zhanna Chernova and Maria Platnova, are charged with inducement and involvement of people in the organization of mass riots and participation in them.
According to investigators, a group of people consisting of at least 11 persons from 7 Russia’s regions created a Telegram channel where they posted publications aimed at the organization of mass riots in Russia between September 17 and 20 and calls for users to participate in them.
Investigators will seek for the defendants’ detention.
