MOSCOW, June 3 (RAPSI) – Russian courts granted all considered applications for child adoption filed by foreigners, people without citizenship and Russian nationals permanently living abroad in 2021, according to the judicial review approved by the Supreme Court’s Presidium.
Last year, regional courts and those equal to them heard 72 cases over international adoption that is 71% more than in 2020 (42), when decrease in such cases was related to the spread of COVID-19 and termination of international air communications since March 2020.
All applications considered in 2021 were granted, the document reads.
Most of all cases were heard by the Kemerovo Regional Court (12), the Leningrad Regional Court (7), the Moscow City Court (7) and the St. Petersburg City Court (7).
