ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 9 (RAPSI) – A court in Taganrog has sentenced a former deputy prosecutor of the city Victor Plyushkin to 3 years behind bars for bribery, according to the Joint press service of the Rostov Region’s courts.
He also was banned from holding law enforcement posts for 2 years.
In March 2021, Plyushkin took a bribe in the amount of 100,000 rubles (about $1,700 at the current exchange rate) from a businessman who asked to help him avoid responsibility after a prosecutor’s check in his company, the statement reads.
During the trial the defendant pled not guilty.
