MOSCOW, June 14 (RAPSI) – Moscow’s Lefortovsky District Court on Tuesday placed Russian citizen Yekaterina Zavalishina in detention until August 13 as part of a treason case, RAPSI learnt from the court’s press service.

The woman is suspected of committing a crime under the Article 275 of the Criminal Code of Russia envisaging punishment of up to 20 years behind bars.

The hearing was held behind closed doors and no details of the case were disclosed because of the classified investigation.
