ROSTOV-ON-DON, June 30 (RAPSI) – The Southern District Military Court has sentenced a native of Tajikistan Fayzali Khalimkhonov to 9 years in high-security penal colony for facilitating terrorist activity, the court’s press service has told RAPSI.
Residing in Volgograd the defendant using a mobile application has transferred 3,000 rubles (about $60) from his banking account to an account of a member of the Islamic State terrorist organization banned in Russia.
Khalimkhonov has been charged with aiding and abetting terrorism for his actions.
Earlier, the same court sentenced a resident of the Rostov region who transferred 10,000 rubles (about $200) to terrorists in 2015 to 5.5 years behind bars.
