MOSCOW, July 8 (RAPSI) – The Basmanny District Court of Moscow has issued an arrest warrant for the former head of the commercial bank Strategy Kirill Drugov in absentia as part of an embezzlement case, RAPSI has learnt in the court’s press service.

Investigators believe that the defendant is hiding abroad. That’s why he was put on the international wanted list. He is to be placed in detention after extradition or his voluntary return to Russia.

The former banker stands charged with large-scale embezzlement. However, his lawyer asked the court not to choose a restrictive measure calling the investigators’ arguments unfounded.
