ROSTOV-ON-DON, July 12 (RAPSI) – The Leninsky District Court in Russia’s Rostov-on-Don on Tuesday extended the detention of Denis Muryga, deputy commander of the nationalist battalion Aidar, until September 16, RAPSI was told in the court.

Muryga was arrested in April when attempting to enter Russia masquerading as a refugee. He holds dual citizenship, Russian and Ukrainian.

The nationalist battalion’s deputy chief is suspected of organizing an illegal militant group or participation in it. The Aidar militants are believed to be involved in the blast of a bridge in the Lugansk People’s Republic in 2015.
