MOSCOW, August 12 (RAPSI) — European Union sanctions imposed on Russia's National Settlement Depository (NSD) have been challenged before the European Court of Justice in Luxembourg.

The lawsuit aims to prove unlawfulness and invalidity of the restrictive measures in question, the NSD said on Friday.

The EU added the NSD to the list of sanctioned entities in June.
