The first document, the Code of Honor of Police Officers and Commanders, is a list of general rules.
The second document, the Russian Police Code of Professional Ethics, is more detailed, and includes 28 articles.
Police officers must not be arrogant, rude, or self-important, or make inappropriate remarks to people; they must not make illegal or unwarranted accusations, threats, use insulting expressions; start arguments, discussions or actions that interfere with normal socializing, or provoke illegal behavior; conduct passport, migration card and any document checks without cause or foundation.
