ROSTOV-ON-DON, September 7 - RAPSI. Federal Antimonopoly Service Head Igor Artemyev has stated that he counts on the support of the State Duma in its consideration of the third antimonopoly set of amendments.

The Committee for Economic Policy and Entrepreneurship earlier urged the State Duma to approve the third antimonopoly package, which contains amendments to the law "On the Protection of Competition", the Criminal Code, the Code of Administrative Offences, and a number of other legislative acts.

The amendments apply to anticompetitive actions outside of Russia that affect Russia. They also pertain to the application of Russian anti-competition laws to foreigners.
The State Dumas second reading of the amendments is scheduled for September 9.
