MOSCOW, December 7 - RAPSI. President Dmitry Medvedev has amended the Fundamental Principles of the Russian legislation by expanding the list of notary's actions, the Kremlin reported on Wednesday.

"The law has entitled notaries to verify information about people in cases stipulated by the legislation," the Kremlin reported.

The law also authorized the consular offices to verify information about people abroad.
