MOSCOW, March 30 - RAPSI. The draft law on the state defense order will be submitted for the first reading to the State Duma in May, says State Duma Deputy and Defense Committee member Igor Zotov.

According to its authors, the law's adoption will establish standards to increase efficiency in planning the state defense order by facilitating cooperation between customers and executors. It will also consolidate the principles and methods of regulating product prices.

The law will specify and differentiate the authorities of federal executive bodies in setting prices on products under the defense order.

The law was drafted by a governmental military and industrial commission.

The authors said the law's adoption will also establish concrete responsibility for officials in terms of missing deadlines to place an order and violating rules on military product prices.
