MOSCOW, December 11 - RAPSI. Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has approved the rules for the professional psychological selection of candidates looking to join the police.
The resolution in this regard has been posted on the government's website.
The document lists the personal and business qualities which need to be studied during the complex examinations, and also the risk factors which should be revealed.
A special commission will be set up to hold psychological testing. It will consist of specialists from the police HR departments and medical organizations, who have a degree in "psychiatry" and "functional diagnostics".
The exam will be held with the written consent of the candidate within 30 days after his appearance before the commission.
The commission members draft and sign a conclusion on the candidate's professional suitability.
The conclusion will be sent to the relevant department within five days. This conclusion and the information it contains constitutes an official secret.
The conclusion will be valid for six months.
The conclusion contains the assessment of the results, the risk factors (if there were any found) and the category of professional suitability.
To make sure there is no differing in these rules, the Interior Ministry will set up a central psychological selection committee. The interior minister will approve its members.
If the candidate does not agree with the conclusion, he or she may refer to the central commission. If the candidate is not satisfied with the commission's decision, the case may be taken to court.
