MOSCOW, October 14 (RAPSI) – Russia's lower house of parliament, or the State Duma, has adopted a bill in the final reading lifting fee for registration of property of the Union State which Russia forms with Belarus, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday.

The bill is aimed at settling the issue of property registration within the framework of a bilateral agreement on property of the Union State signed in January 2006.

Property list includes buildings and facilities where executive bodies of the Union will be housed.

The registration fee amounted to 15,000 rubles (about $400) per item of property.

Russia and Belarus signed in 1997 a union treaty envisaging close political, economic and military ties.
