MOSCOW, April 7 (RAPSI) - A bill that would forbid price indication in Russian shops in foreign currency has been submitted to the lower house of parliament, the State Duma.

The bill was proposed by the State Duma lawmaker Leonid Ogul.

He says that the Law on the Protection of Consumers' Rights should be amended to forbid price indication in foreign currency.

The bill also stipulates that the price for food products be stated in both unit (one pack) and volume units (weight). This would help consumers understand the exact price better, the parliament member believes.
