MOSCOW, July 23 (RAPSI) – Russian President Vladimir Putin has ordered the government to amend the legislation to introduce criminal liability for spreading information on Internet about acquisition and obtaining of drugs, according to the Kremlin's official website.
The president ordered that access to online information about methods of producing, preparing and using potentially dangerous psychotropic substances and purchase location suggestions be restricted without the intervention or involvement of a court.
By December 1, the government and the regional executive authorities are to create specialized rehabilitation centers for underage drug addicts and design and implement a program for comprehensive rehabilitation and resocialization.
The Federal Service for Drug Control will be responsible for the legal aspects of the resocialization of this group of drug addicts.
The administrative punishment for failure to undergo medical treatment under a court order will be toughened. Those guilty of administrative violations committed while under the influence of drugs will be sentenced to an obligatory rehabilitation term.
