MOSCOW, September 8 (RAPSI) - The Russian Cabinet of Ministers has issued instructions to increase the quota for issuing temporary residence permits to foreign nationals and stateless persons in 2015, RIA Novosti reports citing the Government website.
“The 2015 quota for residence permits for foreign nationals and stateless persons in Russia has been increased from 128,055 to 151,175 with distribution across the regions based on their suggested figures,” the Government statement says.
The increase is due to a growing number of Ukrainian nationals who were forced to leave their country and wish to reside in Russia and, therefore, obtain a residence permit.
