MOSCOW, June 7 (RAPSI) – Russian government has introduced a bill on prevention of corruption and inefficient use of funds during the public procurement into the State Duma, RIA Novosti reported on Tuesday.

The bill extends the unified requirements for participants of the public procurement. It also introduces a number of new regulations. In particular, the participant of the procurement must not have been convicted for illegal participation in entrepreneurial activity, bribery or mediation in bribery.

A person who has earlier been found guilty of administrative violation related to the illegal award on behalf of the legal entity or a person who has been legally prohibited from engaging in certain activities that are associated with the delivery of goods, works, rendering services also can’t engage in public procurement, according to the bill.
