MOSCOW, May 26 (RAPSI) – The State Duma has passed amendments to the Russian Code of Administrative Offenses toughening liability for violation of budget legislation.
According to the bill, violation of spending rules by a supervisor of budget funds are to be punished by fines of up to 50,000 rubles (about $881) or disqualification from one to two years.
Administrative liability for failing to provide government procurement, failing to meet demands during execution of capital investments or failing to provide transfer of funds between budgets is also proposed to be toughened. Moreover, the bill introduces fines for officials responsible for failure of government tasks.
The bill enforces change from disciplinary liability to an administrative one.
