MOSCOW, November 14 (RAPSI) – Russian government has submitted a bill on volunteering to the State Duma, according to the statement of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The bill is supposed to establish uniform approach to regulation of volunteering. The document is codifying status of volunteer organizations, organizers of volunteer activity and volunteers as well as listing requirements for said organizations and persons.
Authors of the bill propose to expand legal grounds of volunteer activity that can be codified in civil contracts between volunteers and beneficiaries or legal entities. The bill regulates powers and code of conduct for authorities in sphere of support of volunteer organizations.
According to the government’s statement, these changes will increase legal security of volunteers by providing them with additional guarantees.
