MOSCOW, November 21 (RAPSI) – Russia’s government has submitted to the State Duma amendments to a bill envisaging additional measures to prevent the use of doping in sports, a statement of the Cabinet of Ministers reads on Tuesday.
According to the governmental amendments, a provision stating that employment agreements made with coaches may be terminated because of established violations of national and/or international anti-doping rules should be entered into Russia’s Labor Code.
The bill, drafted by political party LDPR, was approved by the State Duma in the first reading on October 12. As the statement reads, the bill has been supported by the government on condition it is further perfected. The amendments to the bill were produced by the Ministry of Sports.
The bill also envisages to amend Russian legislation on sports by adding a provision limiting employment of persons proved by antidoping organizations to violate antidoping rules and regulations.
