MOSCOW, March 7 (RAPSI) – A bill envisaging broader powers of the Audit Chamber of Russia as to the inspection of commercial partnerships with participation of state-owned companies has reached the State Duma, a statement of the lower house of Russia’s Parliament reads on Thursday.
The authors of the bill, Vyacheslav Volodin, the State Duma Chairman, and his first deputy Alexander Zhukov, believe the new provisions to more accurately assess the efficiency of utilization of funds such organizations receive from the federal budget and at the expense of other federal resources.
The bill envisages that respective amendments are to be introduced into the law on the Audit Chamber.
