MOSCOW, May 27 (RAPSI) – Russian Prime Minister Dmitry Medvedev has signed an order abolishing intra-network roaming, a statement released by the Cabinet of Ministers reads.

According to the act, a licensed provider of mobile telephone communications services fixes in its network equal terms of service for every subscriber regardless of his or her location in the home country, according to the government's statement.

The document is to take effect on June 1, 2019.

The draft decree has been developed by the Ministry of Communications to bring rules into compliance with the recent amendments introduced into the law on communications.

On December 28, 2018, President of Russia Vladimir Putin signed a bill abolishing national mobile roaming into law. The initiative stipulates that unified mobile tariff rates would be applied throughout the country regardless of a region.
