MOSCOW, November 21 (RAPSI) – Russia’s consumer rights agency Rospotrebnadzor during checks conducted this year revealed over 15,000 violations of health legislation in relation to catering services in educational institutions, according to the watchdog’s statement.
Most frequent violations are not meeting the requirements to product safety and quality, storage, process of their cooking, health affairs, medical supervision of people involved.
The control of school catering organization is a priority for Rospotrebnadzor. It regularly conducts checks of educational organizations’ food units and companies supplying products. Over 6,500 officials and legal entities have been brought to administrative liability for violations in this field.
