MOSCOW, December 4 (RAPSI) – The State Duma adopted a bill on fines of up to 500,000 rubles ($8,000) for violation of anti-terrorism security requirements in a final third reading on Wednesday.

Amendments are proposed to the Code on Administrative Offenses.

Previously, responsibility for failure to meet anti-terrorism security requirements for facilities and territories was not set.

Under the bill, violation of anti-terrorism security requirements would result in fines ranging from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles ($50 - 80) for individuals, from 30,000 to 50,000 ($500 - 800) for officials, from 100,000 to 500,000 rubles ($1,500 to 8,000) for legal entities.

The provisions do not apply to transport infrastructure objects, transport means and fuel and energy complex enterprises which are regulated separately.

Moreover, the draft law sets administrative penalties for failure to meet anti-terrorism security requirements set for religious organizations’ facilities. This violation would be punishable by fines from 3,000 to 5,000 rubles, from 30,000 to 50,000 rubles for officials and from 50,000 to 100,000 rubles.
