MOSCOW, May 19 (RAPSI) – Russia’s State Duma is to discuss amendments envisaging that an officer of the Russian National Guard is to discontinue his or her respective service after being elected a deputy of the lower or upper house of the parliament for the term in this capacity.
After the end of the term, the officer is to be given the right to take his or her previous or an equal post.
The document is published on the database of the State Duma, its author is Chair of the body’s Commission on Information, Information Technologies and Communications Alexander Khinshtein.
The changes are to be introduced in the laws on the status of State Duma deputes and Federation Council members.
The bill has been developed to set uniform rules as to social and labor guarantees for persons serving in the military and law enforcement, who are elected State Duma lawmakers or appointed to the upper house of the Parliament.
