MOSCOW, June 17 (RAPSI) – Prosecutor’s offices revealed over 570,000 violations of labor rights of Russian citizens in 2019, Prosecutor General Igor Krasnov announced Wednesday.
Krasnov delivering his first report on law and order in 2019 to the Federation Council said also that prosecutors helped return wage debts worth over 27 billion rubles ($388 million) to employees.
The Prosecutor General noted that prosecution bodies monitor the existing situation as unresponsible employers used the self-isolation regime introduced due to the coronavirus outbreak as a reason not to pay wages or simply to fire their workers.
