MOSCOW, September 22 (RAPSI) – Russia’s Government has submitted to the State Duma a bill envisaging increased number of entries granted and longer validity of private visas issued to close relations of Russian citizens, according to the database of the lower house of Russia’s Parliament.
The bill envisages that foreign nationals being close relatives of Russian citizens (spouses, parents, children, adoptive parents, adoptees, blood or non-blood brothers and sisters, grandparents, grandchildren) are to be entitled for multiple entry long-stay private visas; the documents are to be issued on the basis of applications submitted by respective Russian citizens, who will not need to turn to territorial Interior Ministry structures for registering invitations.
The visas for relatives of Russian citizens are to be valid for one year; a regulation limiting their stay by 90-day periods each six months of a year is to be abolished, the document reads.
