MOSCOW, October 28 (RAPSI) – The Russian Justice Ministry has proposed administrative sanctions for disregard of common animal housing rules and cruelty to them.
Amendments are expected to be added to the Code on Administrative Offences, RAPSI was told on Wednesday in the Ministry’s press service.
Justice authorities also push for making it an administrative offence for not meeting the requirements to the animals’ participation in cultural events and shows.
Moreover, according to the Ministry’s draft law, administrative penalties are to be fixed for breaching of requirements as to handling of stray pets, for instance during their trapping, and violation by animal shelters of rules of animal housing in the pounds.
