MOSCOW, November 17 (RAPSI) – Russian regions will receive 61.8 billion rubles (over $800 million) for monthly payments to children aged from 3 to 7 years. A corresponding order was signed Tuesday by the Government’s Chairman Mikhail Mishustin.
Upon an initiative of the President, low-income families are monthly paid benefits for their kids aged from 3 to 7 years. Additional funds for these purposes are to be forwarded to the regions. Thus, the total amount of reserve funds for such payments to needy families will exceed 123 billion rubles ($1.6 billion), Mishustin said during a meeting of the Cabinet of Ministers.
The maintenance amount is 50% of the regional child subsistence level, about 5,500 rubles per month depending on a region.
