MOSCOW, March 15 (RAPSI) – Ombudsmen from 85 Russia’s regions will meet in Krasnoyarsk in May to discuss the problem of resocialization of convicts, RAPSI has been told in the press service of the Federal Commissioner for Human Rights Tatiana Moskalkova.

The main goal of the May Coordination Council of Regional Ombudsmen is to draft recommendations and proposals on the improvement of legislation and compliance practices concerning the matter, according to the statement.

A lot of people need help after release from custody. The most vital problems include in particular housing, restoration of lost documents, legal and psychological assistance, the Ombudsman’s Office said.
