MOSCOW, August 23 - RAPSI, Alyona Yegorova. The Moscow Commercial Court terminated proceedings over the suit filed by blogger Alexei Navalny against the Federal Antimonopoly Service (FAS) for its alleged inaction concerning a Regional Development Ministry tender, the Russian Legal Information Agency (RAPSI) reported.
The Ministry of Regional Development held a tender in April for the development of a state territorial planning information system, Navalnys representative told RAPSI. The claimant maintains that the tender documents are inadequate in laying out the qualifications for the tender participants.
Navalny petitioned the court to oblige FAS to file a suit with a commercial court seeking to invalidate the tender.
In court, FAS defense lawyer said Navalnys lawsuit was filed with an infringement in jurisdiction. She said Navalny had filed a similar lawsuit with Moscows Lyublinsky District Court; the court held a pre-trial hearing on August 22, and the hearing itself is slated for August 31.
