KIEV, October 11 - RAPSI. Ex-Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko declared that she will appeal her 7 years prison sentence in European Court for Human Rights.
A Kiev district court on Tuesday sentenced Yulia Tymoshenko to seven years in prison for abuse of power in signing gas contracts with Russia in 2009.
The judge declared that Tymoshenko abused her powers when she served as the prime minister and issued directives regarding gas contract negotiations in Moscow that were not properly documented without the government's consent.
