KIEV, November 9 - RAPSI. Ukrainian MP Natalia Korolevskaya has filed a lawsuit against Judge Rodion Kireyev for prohibiting visits to former Ukrainian Prime Minister Yulia Tymoshenko, she said on her website.
Tymoshenko is now held at a pretrial detention center.
A Kiev district court sentenced Tymoshenko to seven years in prison on October 11 for abuse of office in connection with gas contracts signed in 2009 between the Russian Gazprom and Ukraine's Naftogaz. Tymoshenko has been in a pretrial detention center since early August. Her lawyers are allowed to visit her in the detention center.
However, her fellow MPs have been prohibited from visiting Tymoshenko in detention.
Korolevskaya requested permission to visit Tymoshenko on October 14.
