MOSCOW, December 6 - RAPSI. The Investigative Committee has launched a criminal case over the murder of Russian boy Ilya Kargyntsev adopted in the United States in 2005, the committee reported.
It became known on December 2 that Russian-born Isaac Jonathan Dykstra (Kargyntsev) died on August 14, 2005, just three months after he was adopted.
The Johnson County Court, Iowa, acquitted on November 3, 2011, Brian Dykstra, 35, charged with premeditated murder of his adopted son.
In view of this, children's rights ombudsman Pavel Astakhov stated that Dykstra's acquittal may result in banning the adoption of Russian children by Americans altogether.
