MOSCOW, August 6 - RAPSI. Investigators submitted to the State Duma and Prosecutor General's Office materials on the illegal business activities of A Just Russia party member Gennady Gudkov, official spokesperson for the Investigative Committee Vladimir Markin told journalists on Monday.
Last week, the committee reported that it had information on the involvement of an opposition deputy in commercial activities. MP's are prohibited by law from engaging in such activities. In particular, during the pre-investigation check the committee found that in 2008 Gudkov acquired a stake in LLC Kolomensky Stroitel Charter Capital under the gift contract. Investigators maintain that Gudkov remains the head of the company.
"Also, according to data received from Russias Central Election Commission and the Russian Federal Tax Service, since December 25, 2008, Gudkov has been the sole member of LLC Roshan, its highest management body and the recipient of income from business activities," Markin said.
Gudkov has previously denied all the accusations.
